WashingtonDC, (March 06, 2017) - We are happy to announce that Naija Worldwide Charities, Inc., a US based501c3 charitable organization dedicated to rebuilding lives worldwide throughhealth and education, will be leading adelegation of women from the Continent of Africa and Diaspora to the upcomingsixty-first session of the Commission on the Status of Women willtake place at the United Nations Headquarters in New York from 13 to 24 March2017.

Representativesof Member States, UN entities,and ECOSOC-accredited non-governmental organizations (NGOs) from all regions of the world are invited to attend thesession.

Challenges and achievements in the implementation of theMillennium Development Goals for women and girls (agreed conclusions of thefifty-eighth session)

 NaijaWorldwide Charities’ (NWC’s) strength has been its history of gathering womenfrom around the world to empower them, giving voice to critical issues. Worldwidewomen are still fighting for their rights to survive, equality and many otherissues and in the US of all places, women, especially immigrant women needopportunity to have their voices heard and to get access to benefits now morethan ever before.

Attending this event give our members the opportunity toparticipate in dynamic dialogue on women’s economic empowerment in the changingworld of work. By bringing together women from diverse backgrounds, NWC provides the platform they need to be ableto give voice to critical issues affecting them. Events worldwide callsattention to the plight of women today, highlighting the importance of thisyear;s UN Women forum.
