As much as 2016 has so far recorded landmark successes in the Nigerian music industry, it has also seen some of the most spiteful clashes for an entertainment sector.

From Wizkid getting featured in Drake’s album to Davido and Tiwa Savage signing multimillion deals with international labels, Sony Music and Roc Nation respectively, 2016 has done pretty well.

Yet, it is also the year that witnessed the intervention of Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, in the conflict between two label bosses, Olamide and Donjazzy.

Fights and arguments between creative minds is a staple in pop culture, and it is not going anywhere.
